Welcome to my personal page. Of course, this page is prone to being updated at any time.
My name is Emmanuel Benoît and I was born on the 19th February 1981 in Saint-Étienne (Loire, France); I have this almost irrational passion for information technologies, passion which began in 1989 when my parents bought my first PC. Since then, my interest has been unwavering and has widened to include different sub-fields, be it programming (which stays my favourite) or systems administration on GNU/Linux.
I am currently working as an independent developer, as a subcontractor for the
G.R.E.F., a public research laboratory
belonging to INSERM.
In this context I am in charge of the development of a laboratory information management system (or LIMS) meant to manage a molecular screening platform. This management system must be available through a web-based interface; it is able to manage stocks and equipment usage plannings, to assist scientists access the data about their experiments (both the protocols used and the results), and it must also control the equipment used by the platform (robotic equipment and plate reader).
You can read my résumé on this web site.
